Welcome

Welcome

Our Company

G&W UK/Europe Region offers a range of logistical solutions based around its three core service platforms of Rail, Road and Terminals.

We are hugely excited to be developing a new finance shared service centre FSSC in Birmingham and you will help us shape this operation. This is a thrilling opportunity to become involved at the very start of our new journey and to be part of a new FSSC startup.

We are looking for team members to join us who have experience of working in a SSC and who strive to deliver excellent customer service.

Treating our staff how we would like to be treated ourselves is a key focus of the FSSC, with employee engagement at the forefront of our focus. A can do and positive attitude will be key to our success and you will be confident in applying your knowledge and experience to service delivery, whilst continually looking for opportunities to improve.

In turn we will offer a competitive salary and package and great career opportunities within the business as we grow our shared services operation.

G&W is unique in the rail industry, owning or leasing more than 120 freight railroads organised in nine locally managed operating regions with 8,000 employees serving 3,000 customers. We have acquired over 100 railroads since 2000 including UK companies Freightliner and Pentalver.

Freightliner

Freightliner is a leading rail freight provider with businesses in the United Kingdom, Continental Europe and the Middle East. We have established ourselves as a leader within the rail freight industry setting standards, introducing new thought processes and industry firsts.

As a leading provider of intermodal and bulk freight haulage, Freightliner operates services across the entire UK rail network as well as offering rolling stock and infrastructure maintenance solutions. Freightliner has transformed service levels through continued focus on employee skills and investment in rolling stock and handling equipment.

Pentalver

Pentalver started life as a road haulage company in the 1980s and soon diversified into other areas of container logistics, offering the broadest range of container services in the UK. Pentalver’s strategically located off-dock facilities at Felixstowe, Southampton and London Gateway, along with our inland hub at Cannock, offer diverse container services such as road haulage, container storage, container repairs, refrigeration services, cargo handling, container sales and conversions and many more. Employing more than 600 staff and operating from four facilities totalling almost 100 acres in size, Pentalver invests in their people, equipping them with the expertise, technology and infrastructure to provide the best in customer service.
