WELCOME

WELCOME FROM CEO

Ebor Academy Trust was established in December 2013, primarily to be able to properly assist a school facing a serious challenge. As headteacher of an outstanding school, it was a natural extension of our values to reach out and help, confident in the knowledge that our team could inspire and transform education in a setting that so badly needed it. The school grew in strength and subsequently received a Good Ofsted outcome.

The key focus of the Ebor philosophy is to work with schools, developing good practice to ensure a self-supporting school lead system. We pride ourselves in developing and supporting staff to reach their potential in whatever role they undertake. Schools are multi-layered organisations within which there are always pockets of excellence. It is our job to ensure that, under our custodianship, we support schools to deliver the best outcomes for children.

Despite being less than six years old, Ebor is maturing as an organisation and becoming more systems led so as to maximise its effectiveness.

The Chief Operations Officer (COO) with responsibility for all non-academic operations of the Ebor Trust is a senior role which will attract an individual who is ambitious for the Ebor Trust to develop into a major education provider in the North East.

Working closely with the CEO they will provide our organisation with the clarity of leadership that is needed to take Ebor forward to the next phase of its growth.

This is truly an exciting and rare opportunity to make a positive difference to the lives of over 5,000 young people. What is more, our diverse schools are based across the beautiful north east of England and our headquarters in York is regularly rated as being among the best places to live in the country.

If you can subscribe to the Ebor values of Excellence, Belonging, Opportunity and Respect, we look forward to hearing from you.

Richard Ludlow

Chief Executive Officer and Executive Headteacher
