Hays are exclusively partnered with the Diocese of York to recruit a Head of Property to their Property and Estates team. Part of the Church of England, the Diocese of York covers a beautiful area across much of North and East Yorkshire, including the cities of York and Hull, as well as Middlesbrough and Selby, two National Parks, and the incomparable Yorkshire coast.

The organisation takes responsibility for nearly 300 houses, tenanted by clergy, and around 3,000 acres of land across 442 parishes. Their stock ranges from city centre dwellings to agricultural land, and houses built across a range of periods, from the 16th Century to 1960s construction, so there is a very interesting scope of buildings which will allow you to utilize your technical knowledge and initiative to manage.

The property team provides maintenance, legal and administrative support for all property and estate functions and are seeking to add an individual to their team to take responsibility for planned maintenance, condition surveying, specification of works and contract management. The team has a strategic focus on providing better value from its varied portfolio and can offer the opportunity to take a role which is both hands on and has a wider input into asset management and investment decisions.
